Approaching the 10th year of our Motorcycle Ride, in your memory...Always wondered what the 10th may grow to, and what we could we do to celebrate your legacy? We now have a pretty good idea~

Such a wonderful site to find. I'm jealous of you guys. Semper Fi to the Anderson's. You've done such great work keeping Michael's tribute alive. I see where he got his greatness! I found this looking for his family and now I have a request that has to do with all of your archives...if you could contact me, I would give anything. Thanks!! Lisa Kirk
To CPL. Michael Anderson's family: Although I did not serve with your beloved son and never knew him, I will always keep his memory in my heart for a s long as i am breathing. Being a former Marine myself, it is ever so important to tell a story such as CPL. Anderson's. He epitomizes the true meaning of the word hero. I truly wish I could have known him. I have two sons ages 10 and 2 and will teach them of your sons sacrifice and patriotism and remind them to never forget his memory. Semper Fi! God Bless!
Another marked day...Happy 30th Birthday Mike.
I would most certainly be holding/enjoying your progeny...OUR next generation by now - Obviously not meant to be.
I miss you son. Dad
I just had the honor and privilege to speak with Cpl. Michael D. Anderson Jr’s. father. It was a conversation over the phone, I in Ohio and he in California, but it was one of those conversations that were meant to happen. Having just arrived back to the states from Afghanistan I was able to work alongside several Marine Units, mainly down in Helmand and Kandahar. I can honestly say, and I spent 8 years in the U.S. Army, that these Marines were by far the best of the best. I would have their back in battle as I know they would have mine. After talking with Mr. Anderson, I can tell that Cpl. Anderson was also the best of the best.
I work for a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor now and every day we honor a Fallen Hero. We do this for several reason, but most importantly, because we NEVER want to forget those who have given everything for our freedom...NEVER FORGET. I will honor Cpl. Anderson next Monday, January 7th, in front of our entire staff, and give him the honor and respect he so greatly deserves. I salute you Cpl. Anderson and the entire Anderson family. God Speed and thank you!
I never served with Michael in the military even though we served at the same time. My memories of Michael come from kindergarten through 8th grade where, even though I was one of the outcast in the school, he always made me feel normal. It's taken me this long to write about him because he was a great lose to me and other kids he knew like me that he made feel like nothing they did was abnormal. We joined the military at the same time in different services not knowing where we were going in our own lives. But to this day I will never know anyone that could or would give the selflessness of his own self to make someone else feel like they belonged. I am forever in your son's debt and I think about him everyday and pray that one day I will be as selfless with a stranger as your son was with a loser he met in the first grade. I became a First Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy because of Michael.
Proud to have met your father the other day at a USMC event, go figure! Stand tall and stand proud in guarding the streets of Heaven, and I will do my best in honoring your greatness by inspiring others in the best way I can. Happy birthday, Marine, and keep on fighting the good fight, ooh rah!!
